Enka, the Japanese Opera
If the Italians have their Opera, the Japanese have their Enka. This traditional music is usually soul-stirring and sentimental. I’ve been trying to locate one particular Enka singer and so far have had no luck. The ones I’ve been able to extract and upload to VodPod are remarkable though. Not a full range, but enough to give a sampling of this incredible type of music.
